CAROLYN PORTERFIELD

PRAYER SESSION LEADER

My Passion:

As a young girl, God impressed upon me my need for Him. As only a nine-year girl can do, I placed my trust in Christ. My spiritual journey was filled with study of Scripture which unfolded for me who God is, what He desires for His followers, the purpose of the Church, and the role of God’s people in fulfilling His Great Commission as we live His Great Commandment. My church gave me the opportunity to use my spiritual gifts and serve in my community.

My journey with Christ was also shaped in significant ways as I learned of His love for the whole world and the part I could play in sharing His story with those who do not know Him. As a young adult, He clearly called me to be a missions lifestyle strategist. For the past 40 years I have been involved in missions discipleship and have seen God mobilize His Church for greater kingdom impact among the people of the earth. My greatest joy has been working with women from different ethnic groups. They have taught me so much about the greatness of our God. In them, I have experienced the truth of John 3:16.
