The Struggle is Real

Choosing God….

Even in the midst of our struggles.

One of my favorite quotes: “We make choices and those choices turn around to make us.”

The greatest challenge in life is to make a choice and not certain if that is the right choice to make.

Deuteronomy 30 verse 19, makes it very clear for us:

“......that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.”

What does it mean to choose life? If this life we face daily is a struggle, what does it truly mean to choose life?

Then Jesus said to us in John 10:10 “....I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Who are they in this text? You and I choosing life on God's terms, understanding that even when we choose life don't forget the thief will still show up to attempt to kill, steal and destroy but if the choices are based on God's word, then and only then can Christ lead that life for you and you will find yourself calm in the storm.

We can then enjoy this life even in the realm of all of its struggle.

And when the choices we make turn around to make us, we are sure to be pleased with the results, even in the midst of struggle.

So let's put it this way, I will rather be on the Lord's side and face challenges rather than move out of God's camp and then face the challenges alone; oh dear, that will be like a city with no walls- free for all.

Keep walking, the struggle is indeed real and we still have to make these choices.
