Love

Love is a dangerous business to partner with and to agree upon with no conditions attached.

Love comes  with butterfly feelings in our stomach one day and the desire to hate the next day.

But in all its ups and downs we will love anyway and sometimes we love too deep. And in loving so deep we can cover the wrongs of the people we love, but to hate is a different kind of attribute.

Solomon put it nicely in Proverbs 10:12

“Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrong.”

The two words are actually confusing when used together; love and hate; because we love one day and hate the next.

To hate another human is deep, that means there is no care and affection toward that person. To forgive someone you hate is difficult and out of the question and to cover the wrongs of the person you hate is usually impossible.

Any chance we get, our desire is to dig deep and bury the person we hate so much, causing strife among friends and family. Our heart hardens when we hate and we feel nothing when we see that person in pain.

But much as love can hurt and also hate at times, we are to love one another just as God loves us.

By covering the wrong of the people we love does not mean we should not address the wrong. It means we should not speak about it to others to shame the person who hurt us.

We should not repeat the wrong of loved ones to others that have no business knowing.

But deal with it and address it directly with the person.

We should confront and pray for one another.

Love is pure, love is kind and we can use it to mend broken relationship, but at the same time standing our grounds and confronting the wrong. If it means parting ways after confronting.

So we will be hurt when we love but in a million years let's love over again than to hate for a day.

Keep walking!!!
