Who Will You Believe?
/Each night I attempt to coil into the arms of my Lord for comfort and to refill me with new words of encouragement and hope to pour back into the lives of my clients.
Some words hurt, cut deep into the core of our being. The place that no one can see the pain but hurts like the heat of fire boiling inside of you when you have a fever.
"I am not good enough" is the big one. I have heard this phrase many times and is so much believed and engraved on the hearts of many it takes a transformed spiritual mind to accept that those words are not true.
David poured out his heart to his God whenever he is heart broken. "In you, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; deliver me in your righteousness," He cried in Psalm 31.
Go to the Psalms and read the words of David when he is broken. He writes and sings to his Lord.
Seek shelter when those words from loved ones go through you like a sword piercing the core of your heart and you feel like it's over.
But it is not over until He, the I Am, Papa, says so.
No matter what words are used to describe you it does not define you.
And the day you said yes Lord I am all yours, He washed away all your sins including any words anyone used on you, past, present or future; those hurtful words are washed away and you are new.
Those painful words don't define you but God defines who you are;
His child, created in His own image, bought with a price and loves you with no conditions attached.
Whose words will you believe; God or man?
Keep walking.
