God Cares

1 Peter 5: 6-7

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you”

Is anxiety a form of pride? That verse says humble yourself under the mighty hand of God by casting ALL your anxieties on him. This means putting your anxieties on God is a way to humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. Pride is the only hindrance that makes you not putting your anxieties on Him because God opposes pride. Peter admonishes you to humble yourself so that God may exalt you. This means that a form of pride is an unreasonable concern. No matter how faint or weak it may seem. Pride in this context does not admit anxieties and doesn't see that your situation could be handled by someone who has the power to do all things. Pride makes you unbelief and admits there is no need for help. The only way to do away with pride is to admit that you have anxieties and trusting God that He can handle them for you. God is telling you to surrender all to Him, cast all your anxieties upon Him, get rid of the worries trials and affiliations it cause because He cares, He cares so much for you.
