No One!

Romans 8:31

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

“32He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

What are these verses saying, and what do they mean to you? Paul said in the earlier verses that when you consider all that you called suffering for Christ’s sake, you cannot compare it with the glory that awaits you. Imagine this! If God did not spare His only Son and gave Him to us, then, He is gracious enough to give men seeking our hurt in replacement of our life, and give us all we want in abundance(v32). Secondly, God has chosen you, no one has the right to condemn you anymore because He has declared you righteous. God died for you, and He is interceding on your behalf. No one can bring any charge against you (v33-34). Thirdly verse 36 says, “For your sake, we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.'"  Yet, we were not because God is for us, nothing, and no one can be against us, we are more than conquerors, Amen. Fourthly, what else do we need from God? What else shall we say, despite all these assurances and promises, than to hold on to Him and confess that, no trouble, no hardship, no persecution, nothing will separate us from the love of Christ (v35)? Are you ready to say that? God bless you!
