God of Hope
/Someone might be asking what hope exists when faced with challenges, chaos, and troubles that seem overwhelming, especially with the situation in our present world when it seems like God is sleeping. But God is awake, fully awake, and aware of any situation we go through as an individual, as a family, and as a nation. God is our hope. In Him alone, we trust to give us joy and peace, to overcome every challenge and situation that seems heavy for us to bear.
The joy and peace Paul talks about in this verse is a positive one that denies the reality of pain and sorrow. He advised that we keep believing in God to experience joy and peace. Though amid challenges, we might feel lost, and when we feel lost, there is a possibility to lose hope. We only need to continue trusting God, His Word, and abound in hope, even in our challenges and difficulties that God can save and give us peace that surpasses all understanding. We cannot afford to lose hope, neither can we lose our faith now. We should hold on to our faith in Christ Jesus, keeping our eyes fixed on the one who has the whole universe in His hands and who can fill all our expectations up with joy and peace.
We should believe in the prayer of Paul to the Romans that God of hope should give us more than human hopefulness, but a supernatural hope. Hope is an anticipation of good things coming for us, so don’t lose faith and don’t give up.
