Not Too Serious

My devotion today talks about the seriousness of believers. Chambers  explained that we take life so serious we forget to laugh. We have the tendency to set ourselves apart for the wrong reasons.

God said the only person or thing to take seriously is Himself. Everything else we must relax and enjoy but to the glory of God.

So I asked myself; how different is my life, behavior and interactions with others since I began to walk faithfully?

Have you stopped the fun things you used to do? Have you cut off people completely because you think they may tarnish your reputation as a believer?

Oh dear, there is a huge difference between being in the world and enjoying the things of the world.

Don't cut yourself short because you want to be prim and proper for Christ. Lay your hair down, set yourself free and don't take life and others serious but only Christ.

Remember the motives and intentions of the heart is all that matters to Christ; therefore, chill and relax your spiritual muscles so you can enjoy this journey.
