First, You Chose Me

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father  in my name you shall receive.”

John 15:16

This reminds me of two things;

 not to take pride in who I am today because I did not choose Christ, He did and there was nothing I did to be who I am today. He chose me and molded me as He sees fit.

Secondly, in my sinful nature deep in the belly of the devil, He chose me (that is deep) and believes that He can do something with me…….really?

All I have to do is allow Him to do His work completely.

Sometimes I feel the Lord is ready to send me to the next level but I am hesitant. I am comfortable where I am but the Lord wants something  bigger and greater for His kingdom and I am wasting time arguing with Him.

I am not sure if you are also struggling with your next assignment with the Lord but we must remember He chose us and we didn't choose Him so we must allow Him to do His thing.

This year is still crawling,  let's pray to focus on His kingdom and not on our own level of comfort.

We are no longer our own; we have been bought with a prize. And we have no rights to ourselves. Amen.
