Through the Storm

Romans 5:3-4

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

When we go through storms, it is not the time to withdraw from God, but a time to draw closer to Him. It amazes me to see saints going through difficult times and looking defeated. They look like they don't know who the Savior is even though they have accepted Christ as their personal Savior. As a Christian, we should know that we are never alone. We should know that there is NOTHING too hard for God. If a storm is to come, then He will bring me through the storm. We must know that any storm we go through is a test of our faith. Do you really trust God, or are you just a talker and not really a believer in His word. This scripture tells us how we should act in difficult times and how our storms make us stronger Christians in the Kingdom of God. I can truly say that each of my trials, difficulties, storms have definitely made me a stronger believer. When I'm in a storm, I do the following four things: I praise, pray, and persevere with patience through that storm. I refuse to let satan see me sweat. I know that God inhabits the praise of His people, so I continue to give Him all the Glory and Honor He deserves. I know prayer changes things, so I can continue to tell God how awesome He is and that I know He is with me because He is a God that cannot lie. I persevere with patience because I know that it is a test of my faith and I want God to know that I trust Him with all my heart and nothing, and I mean nothing will separate me from His love. I love the scripture this morning because it is a reminder of why I serve this Great God!

Amen!
