In the Valley
/This is a very familiar scripture today, but do you truly believe the words of this scripture? Let’s break it down and get a clearer understanding of God’s Word. The first part says “Ye though I walk through the valley of death,” this is saying when I am going through trials, obstacles, disappointments, lack, setbacks, you can even say the lost of someone important to you. The next part says, “I will fear no evil,” this is saying even though you have these setbacks in your life, you will not fear and doubt the Lord for who He is because ...”He is with you,” which takes me back to another scripture that says, ”I will never leave you nor forsake you,” says the Lord. God cannot lie and here are two different scriptures that states clearly that He is always with us, no matter what we are going through. The next part says, “thy rod and staff comforts you,” which means that His discipline and His support gives you comfort. Sometimes we are in the valley because of our foolish decisions, so He must get our attention. Now even though we are in this valley for foolish decisions, He is still with us to guide us out if we let Him. Sometimes we are in the valley because the enemy is trying to still our joy, but the Lord sends His staff to keep us strong and give us comfort while we are in the midst of this bad place in our life. His staff can also block other fiery darts the enemy is throwing our way because as you know the enemy does not play fair. The enemy as you know believes in putting more injury on the person when they are down, but our Father believes in comforting you when you are down. Now if you believe the words of this scripture, then the way you walk and talk should exemplify your trust in this Mighty God we serve. You should always walk around with your head up and a smile on your face because the joy within didn’t come from man but from the Lord who created you in His own image. Since we are from Him and He is with us, our life should be different. So do you believe the words of this scripture, if so then let’s see it in the way you carry yourself daily. We serve a great God who has our back no matter the circumstance.
Be blessed!
