The Greatest Love of All

This is a very familiar scripture today but it is an example of the ultimate love Christ had for you and me. First, God showed His love by sending His ONLY SON to die for our sins past, present and future. That’s LOVE! Then Christ agreed to leave His home in Glory, take on human flesh, and walk this earth so we would know the REAL TRUTH and have a choice as to where we want to spend eternity. That’s LOVE! Christ’ ultimate sacrifice is why I can never go back. He was whipped and spit on for me. That’s LOVE! He wore a crown of thorns upon His head for me. That’s LOVE! He carried an old rugged cross for me. That’s LOVE! He allowed nails in His hands and feet for me. That’s LOVE! He allowed the soldiers to pierce Him in His side for me. That’s LOVE! He was mocked and ridiculed for me. That’s LOVE! He allowed them to hang Him high on that hill for me. That’s LOVE! He gave up His ghost for me. That’s LOVE. But the most powerful thing He did for me was rise up from the dead with ALL Power so I could choose to live for Him. Now that’s LOVE!
