We must always watch what we say and do, because we never know who is watching. When you said yes to Christ, you now represent Him in your daily walk. The scripture today calls out to the Lord saying, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable unto thee.” Which means telling lies has to stop, back biting has to stop, gossiping has to stop, cursing has to stop, unforgiving spirit has to stop, fornication has to stop, envy has to stop, what ever is not of the Lord has to stop. Now can you stop these behaviors in your own power? Absolutely not! You can only stop these unwanted behaviors through the power of the Holy Spirit. You must know the errors of your ways and humble yourself before the Lord asking for forgiveness first and then to help you be more like Him in your actions and what you say. I use to have a foul mouth and the Holy Spirit in me would not let me rest when I would curse just because I could. The prompting of the Holy Spirit led me to my knees to seek God’s help with my foul mouth. I can truly say that after a month of prayer, I stopped cursing for fun or just because I could. Prayer changes things when you come before the Lord in humility. So follow the scripture today and ask the Father to remove anything that’s not pleasing in His sight. Let Him know that you totally surrender all to Him, once He hears and sees your humility, He will start working on you.
