To God Be the Glory

This is a familiar verse I have my Wednesday night class recite often. I want them to learn at an early age that we do nothing for self glory, but so God the Son may be glorified. Don’t misunderstand me because I know when you do something that people like they will say you did a great job and your natural response is “thank you.” So that is fine but add on to your thank you by letting people know that you give God the glory for using you in a powerful way. Our Father in Heaven deserves all the glory and honor because He is the Great I Am, King of kings and Lord of lords. He is our gateway to His Father. I don’t know about you but it gives me goosebumps when I can feel Christ leading me to do the many assignments I do. Let us remember to always give glory to God for His mighty works through us.

Colossians 3:17

“And whatever you do in word or in deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
