As For Me And My House...

How many of you can say, “ As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord?” Serving the Lord doesn’t mean going to church every Sunday. The unbeliever can go to church every Sunday and receive nothing. When you say these words in Joshua 24:15, you must make sure your household knows the Lord for themselves. You must make sure they are developing a personal relationship with Christ. You must make sure the people in your household knows how to call on the Lord in time of trouble. They know how to be patient and wait on the Lord for their answer. Teaching your household to know and trust Christ is the best gift you could ever give. To be honest with you, this is the only way to survive in this wicked world we live in. It is a fact that trials and road blocks will come in our lives and the only way to survive is through a personal relationship with the Father. So don’t be comfortable that you know Christ and on your way to Heaven until you have planted the seed of salvation in the hearts of your household through prayer, sharing the Word of God, witnessing about how the Lord brought you through a difficult situation, through your day to day actions. All of these ways and more are good ways to plant the seed of Christ in the lives of the people you love. Let me encourage you to keep striving everyday and don’t get worry in well doing because we have an adversary that does NOT want people to know Christ, so he puts barriers in their way and in our way. You must press your way through the barriers until you can truly say everyone in my household knows the Lord.
Be blessed!

Joshua 24:15

“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
