Do You Love Him?

2 John 1:6
“6And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it“
If you really love the Lord God, then you will follow His commandments. You would strive each day to live holy because He is holy. If you really love the Lord God, then you would walk in His righteousness because He is righteous. If you really love the Lord your God, then you would follow His Will and not your will. If you really love the Lord God, then you would pray in season and out of season because you know there is power in prayer. If you love the Lord, then you would not doubt Him because you know He has made us promises that He must keep because He is a God that cannot lie. You know that He is always by your side because He said “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” If you love God, then you would speak hope into your own life and others because there is hope to those who trust the Lord. If you truly love the Lord God, then you would love what He loves and hate what He hates. If you love the Lord, you would Let no corrupt communicationproceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers ( Ephesians 4:29). In other words, you would be conscientious about the words that come out of your mouth. There is a scripture where Jesus asked Peter 3 times “Do you love me?” He said, “If you do then feed my sheep.” Peter was hurt that the Lord had to ask him three times, because each time he was asked, he said yes Lord I love you. So does the Lord have to ask you multiple times if you love Him? He should know that you are on His winning team. He should know that you will go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and teaching people to obey everything that He has commanded. The Lord should trust that you will tell people everywhere about His Word. If you love the Lord your God, then keep His commandments.
