Repent Today

2 Peter 3:9

“The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”

2 Peter 3:9 says a mouthful. What bothers me is that some Christians, people who say the believe in the death, burial and resurrection, live their lives like a sinner. They are being more corrupt, more morally unbalanced, more selfish than the person who has not made Jesus their choice. Then they claim to seek God for guidance and wonder why He has not responded. How can He respond to you when you have decided to live your life like a sinner? You are a double minded Christian and He is patiently waiting on you to do what you know is right. He is waiting on you to stop quenching the Holy Spirit inside of you, that was given to help you make the right decisions. He wants you to stop being foolish and turn away from your wickedness. The wickedness you know is wrong and repent to Him. He does not have any desire to destroy you, but He will turn you over to a reprobate mind if you don't get it together. You don't want the Lord to do that to you, do you?
