You Must Choose

Romans 8:6
“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
If you are truly a child of God, then the life you live should speak for you. You cannot straddle the fence as people would say. You must choose you this day whom YOU will serve. You cannot have two Masters because the God we serve is a jealous God and He will not share His glory with any other being. Isaiah 42:8 says, “I am the Lord! That is my name! I will not share my glory with anyone else, or the praise due me with idols.” So you need to decide if you are going to be carnal minded, which is the same as speaking Christ with your mouth but your life smells foul. You can’t do both, but there are people you know today who think they can live a life not pleasing to God and still make it to Heaven. Now I’m not talking about those whose life is foul right now but they are striving each day by the leading of the Holy Spirit to get out of the mess they are in. These people have learned that it is better to live a life pleasing to God than to live a life that is foul. These people have decided to truly make Jesus their choice. These people might look rough around the edges but they’ve decided to follow Jesus all the way. When you truly make up in your mind that you surrender all to Him and to Him you owe your life, then and only then can you have peace. Peace that passes all men understanding. I’m not saying you will not have trouble, but I am saying that God will give you an eternal peace that will keep you going. A peace that will put a smile on your face while going through a storm. A peace that will sustain you in the midst of the storm. If you really want a life that leads to peace, then accept the Savior into your heart and let the Holy Spirit control your mind.
