Love One Another

Love is a 4 letter word with a great impact. It is a word that is mentioned over 30 times in the Bible. God stresses love because it is important to Him that we show love one to another as both God the Father and God the Son has demonstrated numerous times. In 1 Corinthians 13:13 the word of God says “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. In John 3:16, God showed love by sending His only begotten Son to die for our sins. Christ demonstrated the ultimate love by giving His body to be beaten and His life for our sins. In the scripture today, it states that love will cover a multitude of sins which means that love looks over disappointments, love looks over hate, love looks over strife, love looks over envy, love looks over backbiting, love looks over discouragement, love is not bitter.. When Christ died for us, He looked beyond all our faults and saw that we were in need of being saved from the bottomless pit of hell. Christ showed us the ultimate sacrifice of love. Love is sacrificial and does not look for anything in return. The scripture also said that love is fervent. Do you know what fervent means? It means sincere, passionate, so true love for one another should be real, not fake, genuine and sincere. True love goes deep, and is not superficial. True love does not see color. True love does not look at your financial situation. So when the word of God said one to another, it means all people regardless of their background. This 4 letter word means a lot to our God so it should mean a lot to us. We as believers should strive above all things to show love one to another as Christ has commanded that we do.
Be blessed .
