Perfect Peace

In a world of chaos and confusion, how do you keep your sanity? Is a question often asked of Christians. How can you smile in the midst of adversity? How can you keep serving God and you have no job? How can you stay with that man after he cheated on you? I don’t know about you, but the God in me is what sustains me. It is nothing but the grace of God that gives me peace that surpasses all human understanding. When my baby was stricken with cancer, my world turned upside down. I was thrown into a world wind of doctor visits, rehabilitation, not knowing if God was going to spare my child’s life. But even though this was going on in my family’s life, their remained a calming peace in my life that even I did not understand and still don’t understand. The peace of God that only He can give came over me and sustained me and family throughout the entire process. I know it was His peace that sustained me because when you have His peace you can still smile. When you have His peace you can still pray. When you have His peace you can still serve in His church. When you have His peace you can still minister to others and strengthen them in the trials they are facing. When you have His peace you know that whatever will happen, He is in control. I knew that whatever He decided to do in my child’s life, He would receive the Glory and He would keep my mind and give me the strength I needed to get through. That is why today, I serve Him with my whole heart because I know without a doubt, He is the only one that can give you true peace, not that temporary peace the world gives but that peace that keeps you in the midst of a storm. So don’t let your heart be troubled people of God and don’t have fear in your heart because God can do exactly what He said He will do in spite of what it looks like now with the physical eye. Trust Him today, don’t doubt. Don’t allow satan to put fear in your heart because fear and faith cannot dwell in the same place. Hold onto your faith and believe God’s Word that says peace I give you, not as the world gives you. So let not your heart be troubled, but believe He has your life in His hands and everything in control. Believe today and grab hold to His peace.
