The Wait

Philippians 4:19

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Amen to the word of God! My God can and will supply whatever your need is as long as it is in His will. Many times we get frustrated with the Lord because even though we trust Him, we don’t understand why we are still waiting on what we asked Him a year ago. There are a few reasons why your prayers have not been answered and one reason could be that it’s not time. God’s timing is not our timing but when He delivers, it’s right on time. Through this waiting period, He is teaching you patience. Patience to wait on Him and not take matters into your own hands. Many times when we try to make things happen in our own power, we fail. Our frustration comes because we have stepped out on our own and made a simple situation become a huge situation. What could have happened quickly now takes years because we could not wait on God. People of God if you say you trust God and your life is in His hands, then you must trust Him all the way. Trusting Him means you have faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence if things not yet seen. So regardless of not seeing that breakthrough, you will wait on Him. You will not doubt Him, but will hold on until He blesses you. Another reason why your prayer may not have been answered yet is because it was not in His will for your life. He knows all about us even before we were developed in our mother’s womb. So He knows what you need more than you do.  Even though you might not agree with the Father, you must be still and see the salvation of the Lord. I guarantee, if you just wait, He will blow your mind in what He will do for you. If your prayer is for someone else like your children, then know He is trying to get their attention, so all you must do is keep lifting them before the Lord and pray that their souls will not be lost in this waiting period. So yes, God will and can supply all your needs according to His riches in glory, but you must learn after you’ve prayed, you must wait.
