The Proud Always Fall

1 Peter 5:6

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,”

The Lord cannot use you if you are prideful. The word of God says,  “A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit” ( Proverbs 29:23).  God cannot use you if you are self absorbed in your own self. There are people who think it is through their might that they have accomplished such success. There are people who even think it was their ability alone that created an open door that now brings them success and wealth. How sad it is when a person thinks this way. This person gloats in themselves and leaves no room for the Lord, who gave them the ability and wisdom, to elevate them with honor. This person believes in the power of one which is themselves. The Lord cannot use such a person, and just as high as this person is elevated in his own prideful ways, is just as low this person will fall. Pride comes before a fall says the Lord.  Just know that pride knows how to sneak up on you, so be careful.   That’s why we must always stay prayerful. We must always acknowledge God in all our ways and let Him direct our path. We must make sure we are walking in His will for our lives. We must know that nothing we do is on our own. If we keep these things in mind then we will stay under the covering of the Almighty God. He will give you favor and expand your territory for His glory. When God elevates you, no devil in hell can bring you down, but when you are elevating yourself through your mere power, you will fall extremely hard. Once you fall, it will be hard for you to come back unless you seek forgiveness and humble yourself once again under God’s will for your life. If you do it God’s way, there’s no way to go but up!
