We Are Free

1 Peter 2:16

“Live as free people; do not, however, use your freedom to cover up any evil, but live as God's slaves.”

Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. When you gave your life to Christ, you were set free of being a slave to sin. You were given a second chance in life to do better and be better, so don’t let the enemy trick you into spending your time bound to sin as if the Savior has not delivered you from this bondage. Don’t allow the enemy to use you to do His dirty work. When you see him coming, you need to tell him straight up, “Get thee behind me satan, there is no room in my life for you!” When you say it, say it with all the power and vigor the Master has given you. If you are truly a child of God, then He is the one who can and will strengthen you to overcome the temptation satan has put in your way to make you a slave to do his dirty work. You might say, “How do I know when satan is coming?” It can be a hard task because he is so cunning and sleek, but if you ask the Lord to cover you and your family and you stay connected to Him daily through prayer, meditation, supplication and fasting, you will smell satan when he is luring around because the Holy Spirit in you, if you don’t shut Him down, will always prompt you of the enemies presence. If you are going to fight the enemy you must stay connected to the Almighty. You must have on the full armor of God so you can withstand those enemy attacks. When you said yes to Jesus, you said no to satan, so you must remember that you are no longer a slave to satan, because you are a child of God. There’s a song that I will quote that tells you that no matter how satan tries to make you His slave, you are a child of God. The song says, “We've been liberated

From our bondage

We're the sons and the daughters

Let us sing our freedom

You split the sea

So I could walk right through it

My fears were drowned in perfect love

You rescued me

And I could stand and sing

I am a child of God...

You have been liberated from the bondage of sin , so remember you are a child of God and there is no turning back! No turning back!
