The Peace of God

Why are you wrestling with what you can’t handle? These things you are wrestling with causes strife in your life. These things you wrestle with causes pain in your life. These things you are wrestling with causes sleepless nights. These things you are wrestling with causes you to worry, but God has told us to cast all our cares on Him for He cares for us. Did you know it is a sin to worry? There are so many places in the Word of God that states not to worry, so if He doesn’t want us to worry, then why are you?

As a Christian we are suppose to love what He loves and hate what He hates, right? So if this is true, then if He says be anxious for nothing, then “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” If He says don’t worry about tomorrow, then follow His Word that says, “ Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” If His Word says do not let your heart be troubled, then “ Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.”

Psalms 4:8

“I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.”

You see every day has enough trouble of its own, but God wants us to live in peace with The Holy Spirit as our guide. Look what He says in Mark 13:11, “Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.” His Word today says for us to lie down in peace, for He alone can keep us safe. When Christ was going back to His Father, He told His disciples “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”  He clearly states that His peace for us does not look like the world’s peace, but for us not to be worried or afraid. Why? Because He will never leave us nor forsake us. This is also in His word.

So know that the peace Christ wants us to rest in will not be what the world considers peace but with the Lord, this peace will surpass all human understanding and you will feel an unspeakable joy that this world can’t fathom . People will wonder how you can smile while in the storm and all you have to say is “Jesus!” People of God let’s live in the safety of our Father and experience His unmatchable PEACE!
