Be Patient with Others

No one is perfect but God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. So since they are the only perfect supreme beings, we must be patient, slow to anger and gentle with one another.  We must show love to all man kind regardless of their faults, regardless if they are kind or not. Jesus is the perfect person to mimic your life behind because He showed genuine love to those who spitefully used Him. The Pharisees and the Sadducees gave Christ a fit while on earth. They were always trying to get Him to sin against His Father, but He kept His eyes on His Father and continued to show patience and love for them all.

When it comes to patience and love one to another, we must learn to look pass the physical and remember that we have an enemy that hates the fact that we chose Christ.  Our enemy is out to steal, kill and destroy our lives, he doesn’t care who he uses to accomplish this task. So as we deal with people, we must not forget the arch enemy. We must look pass what we see and hear and pray for these people. We must seek God’s wisdom on how to love and be patient with people who are being controlled by our arch enemy. The enemy knows nothing but hate. The enemy knows nothing but how to kill. The enemy knows nothing but how to inflict pain. The enemy uses people to do these horrific things, but despite how the enemy used people to hate Christ and ridicule everything He was about, Christ still loved them enough to give His life for their sinful ways. Christ loved them enough to be gentle and patient with them. Why? Because He knew who His enemy was and His ultimate goal was to give people a choice to choose Him before He destroys the enemy and every person who chose to do the enemy’s underhanded work.

Ephesians 4:2

“With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;”

Is it hard to be patient, gentle and love a person who has killed, persecuted, and shown nothing but hate? The answer is yes,it is hard to love such people, but we can with God’s strength and wisdom. We can with God on our side.  We can if we let Him fight our battles. Now letting Him fight your battle doesn’t mean you do nothing, it means that you let Him give you wisdom and knowledge on what to do, if anything. Sometimes He just wants you to sit back and do nothing, but show love, gentleness and patience toward those who want to do you harm.

It is important that we follow God’s word without taking something from His word or adding to His word. God’s word is true and everlasting. If we follow His word, then He will do the rest.

So let us be completely humble and gentle; with lowliness, and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing people in love.
