Trusting What We Don't Understand

Ecclesiastes 3:11

“God has made everything fit beautifully in its appropriate time, but he has also placed ignorance in the human heart so that people cannot discover what God has ordained, from the beginning to the end of their lives.”

Everything has it’s own time. The bible states there is a purpose for all things, and many times we don’t understand or know why. Is it important that we know why God does what He does? Is it important to know why He allows certain storms in our lives? I say no it is not. The Word of God also says that His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways, and because of this word, it is not important that you know why, but it is important that you learn, gain and cherish what He has allowed to transpire in your life. Sometimes we wonder why death, why pain and suffering, but we don’t wonder why birth, why success, why favor, we just accept it and move on with our lives. All these different times in our lives we should learn, gain and cherish it because there will be one day when we will not be able to learn anything else or gain from anything else in life or cherish moments in our lives that have defined who we are in Christ Jesus. We really should rest in God’s grace that He has fit everything in our lives beautifully and at its appropriate time. If we knew everything that was to happen in our life and the lives of others, there would be more chaos in this world than there is now. If we knew when trouble was coming and who was bringing the trouble, we would not operate in the spiritual but more in the physical, and this way of thinking would mess things up more. We would never find time to worship and praise God because we would be too busy trying to dodge the trouble. If we knew our time of death, we would have no time for God because we would be too busy trying to do everything before our time expires. We would not be thankful for the new mercies He allows us to see every morning we wake up. He created us to worship Him and give Him praise. If He did not make us ignorant to our future, our lives would be uncontrollable.  So I think it is better that He has told us there will be times in your life that you will rejoice and mourn. There will be a time you will be born and a time you will die. There will be time in your life to love and hate. There will be time to laugh and a time to weep. In fact, in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, He has told us everything that is to be in this life that we live. The only thing He left us ignorant of was the time, but He did say it would be at the appropriate time. I know many of you are saying, but it doesn’t feel appropriate, and I agree with you, but I hold on to the verse that says all things work together for my good. So when pain comes it will work together for my good. When death comes, it will work together for my good. When birth comes, it will work together for my good. The Word of God says ALL, not some, will work together for my good. I praise God for the word today. It’s an on time word for me to know that whatever He orchestrates in my life or in the people’s lives that are dear to me it will be done beautifully and at its appropriate time.

Be blessed!
