Cast Your Cares On Him

Psalms 55:22

“Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.”

Yesterday we talked about the power of prayer and how you must have faith that God will see you through. Today’s scripture focuses on the fact that God wants us to take our burdens, desires, needs to the alter and leave them there. When you cast your burdens on the Lord, you should have made up in your mind that  the problem you’re facing was too big for you to handle and you need Him to fix it. Now when you make that decision, it’s time to step back and watch God handle it in His way. He may not handle it the way you think but you must know that God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts, but He will work it out for you according to His will for your life. God may not fix your problem at the time you think, but His time is the best time. There is a song that says, He may not come when you want Him, but He’s right on time. So stop getting frustrated with the Lord. Just hold your peace and let Him fight your battle, because one thing is sure, when He fights your battle, it is fixed forever. When you try to do it in your power, it might give the illusion that it is fixed, but the reality is that it was only a temporary fix. God  doesn’t do temporary, when He works out your situation, it is completely, undeniably done. The scripture also states that while you are waiting on Him, He will sustain and keep you in His loving arms. The word of God in Jeremiah 29: 11-13 says,

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

This scripture tells me that when I come to the Lord  in prayer, He will take care of me or the person I’m praying for. He has no desire of harming us in anyway. So stop allowing satan to deceive you that God wants you to suffer and that’s why you are still in that situation. That is a lie, because His word says He wants to prosper you, not keep you in bondage or in a hurtful situation.  When we pray, He is listening and wants to help us with that prayer point, if it is in His will for our lives. People of God let’s cast all our desires, hurts, worries, needs on God because He cares for you and wants the best for you.

Be blessed!
