My Father’s Business

Habakkuk 2:14

“For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.”

When this life is over, there should be no one that can say they have not heard about this great God we serve. How is this going to happen you ask? The only way it can happen is if YOU start fulfilling the Great Commission the Lord has told us to do in Matthew 28:19-20. This scripture says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Now if we are being about our Father’s business, then when it is all said and done every person on the face of this earth should know who God is and how He sent His Son to die for their sins. Now the next question to you is, are you fulfilling the great commission? Are you telling everyone you know about this God we serve? How are you telling others or is it in your imagination? Are you one that says you wish you were telling others but life is hard and you have so much other things to do? Are you saying you just don’t have time right now but when you empty your plate a little more then you’ll get back on your post and do what God has told you to do? Well, let me help you right now stop deceiving yourself. You will never get caught up, life will never stop happening, there will always be things to do, and God knows that. He knows all about you, in fact, He knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb, but He said in spite of all you have to do, I want you to go and tell everyone about the Good News. This Good News that will safe their soul and make them whole. This Good News that will give them the opportunity to have eternal life and reign with Him forever more. Let me tell you this also, if you take care of God’s business, He will take care of your business. The Lord said, I must be about my Father’s business, and that is what you must say. When you step out and share the Gospel with others, He will give you the words to say and He will free up your time. Did you notice the 20th verse in Matthew 19, it says and surly I am with you always. He will be with you, all you must do is step out on faith and do what He has told all of us to do. When you do it God’s way, then truly this earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord like the waters cover the the sea. Are you doing your part to make this scripture be a reality? If not, what is holding you back?
