Protect Your Temple

1 Corinthians 6: 19

“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,”

When you said YES to Salvation, you said yes to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Your choice to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior means that you belong to God the Father. When you are a part of the children of God, you rely on the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in every aspect of your life. By the Holy Spirit dwelling in you, you must be careful that you are not quenching the Holy Spirit by what you allow to enter your space. If you associate with negative people, then you will start seeing things negatively instead of positively. If you insist on taking in things that does not go along with what God loves, then you are quenching the Holy Spirit. When you said YES to the Savior, you also relinquished your will for God’s Will for your life. You have made up in your mind that whatever God ask you to do, you will do. Wherever God wants you to go, you will go. You have made up in your mind that where God leads, you will follow. You have said, for God I live and for God I will die. You have decided that you are sold out for God and for everything He represents. You have decided to love what He loves and hate what He hates. You have decided to commit your all to Christ, which means your resources , your mind, body, soul, even your family. So the Word of God says that, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:19‬) With this scripture in mind, you really need to think about what you allow in your space. The enemy has us so confused that we who have been chosen should be extremely careful how much of what the world calls our new normal we’ve taken in and owned. God has clearly defined how we should live our lives according to His will, so stop making excuses for the things you do that you clearly know is against His will for your life.  Remember when you said yes to Christ, your life now belongs to the creator of the universe who owns everything and can give you the desires of your heart and more, but you must be careful not to fall into a satan trap that will have you going against what God has intended for you as you walk this Christian journey. Be wise people of God and be vigilant in Jesus name.

Be blessed!
