Use Your Gifts

What are you doing with the gift(s) God has given you? You might say, “I don’t have any gifts,” and I would say, “Yes you do,” because God has instilled something in everyone of His children. In fact, before you were born there was a skill you were given in your mother’s womb. Believe it or not, you have been developing that skill(s) every since you were an adolescent. As you have grown and matured so has your skill grown and matured. When you decided to give your life to Christ, that which the Lord has given you is the talent He wants you to now use for His glory.  If you are unaware, let me inform you that everything He has given you, is for His glory. We are not to waste our time and energy in this world wondering around and using what He has given us for our own selfish gain. If that’s you , then today is a mighty good day to stop and reevaluate your actions and turn your energy toward glorifying God with everything you have while you have time, because there will come a time when you will no longer be able to do anything.

1 Peter 4:10

“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

So give what God has given you to enhance His Kingdom, so in the end you will hear Him say, “Come on my good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over the little I’ve given you, now it’s time to reap your reward by my side.” Don’t you want to hear those words? If the answer is yes, then if He has given you to ability to speak, it’s time to use that voice to bring others into the knowledge of this great God we serve. If he has given you the ability to lead, then it’s time to lead others to Christ. If He has given you the ability to sale items , then that means you can be very persuasive, so it’s time to use that persuasiveness to persuade others that Christ is the way, the truth and the Light and no man can get to the Father but through Jesus Christ. If He has given you the ability of helps, then it is time to use that ability to help others find their way to Christ and help them to get through their storm. If He has given you the ability to sing, then you should get off the bench and start using that voice to inspire and lift people’s spirits.

Whatever you have been given should be for His purpose and glory. No matter how big or small, you should be using it to please the Father.  When you encourage and help others, you are pleasing Him, and that’s what our lives should be all about, pleasing the Father!
