Spread the Love
/These were words from the Apostle Paul to the church at Philippi. Paul was writing to this church to encourage them to stay focused and to continue to seek God for all knowledge and understanding. He encouraged them to let love abound. We know that love is important because Paul in 1 Corinthians said, “ And now these three remain, Faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” When we operate from a heart of love, things come out better. When you encourage from a loving space, it is sincerely felt.
Now Paul also warned them against people who were not speaking God’s truth, but instead speaking their own truth. Christians, we too must be aware when evil is present and disguised in sheep clothing. There are more today than in the days of Paul. Now I know it is hard to tell people when they are in a fault, but if you speak from a loving space , it will be received with love.
Let’s take time today to encourage our brothers and sisters in the Lord. So let me be the first today to encourage you in these trying times we live in to be steadfast, immovable always abounding in the work of God Almighty. Let me encourage you to seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things will be added unto you. It is important to share love one to another with words of encouragement. We must encourage our brothers and sisters as they walk in the right direction. We must also let them know if they are moving in circles that will lead to their destruction. Let’s take notes from Paul because He encouraged the church at Philippi, but also told them to be aware of those who were not being lead by the Holy Spirit . He spoke those words through his love for this church at Philippi. I didn’t notice any condescending tone in his message to them, so it can be done.
Take some time this week to encourage people in the work of the ministry and if you need to bring something that is not of God to the light that they are doing then do so and ask God for clear direction on how to address it. When I read that letter to the church, I felt good and strengthened to keep going and that is the way you want to encourage people, so they too will be strengthened in their walk with Christ through love. We want the love you share to continue and those you have encountered will be strengthened to share the same love to someone else who is walking in Christian Faith.
