Today’s scripture reading comes out of the book of Romans. Have you ever felt like you were at the end of your rope and there was no way you were going to make it? This reading will help you realize, not only is God with you in the midst of your storm, He NEVER LEFT!

“So since this is the day the LORD had made, why are you sad, or depressed? Why do you act as if there is no hope? Don't allow satan to put blinders around you to where you can't remember how God brought you out of that last situation! Raise up your head all ye people and rejoice in the Lord…”

“If we are truly going to walk it like we talk it, the Lord must be at the wheel of your life. There is no room for you to do you unless the Lord is there with you. I know for a fact, He is there with you because His word says so, but the question is are you there with Him?”

“If you truly trust God, He will wrap His arms around you and lead you on this journey of life. If you give up your will for His Will, He will never leave you or forsake you. He will lead you in the path of righteousness for His name sake.  If you are obeying His Will, He will keep you from falling. He will lead you around those stumbling blocks in your life. If you are all in for Christ, He will show you favor and pour you out more blessings than you could ever receive. So, if Christ will do these things for us, why do we fail Him?”

“All wisdom and knowledge comes from God. If you need and want His knowledge all you need to do is ask and believe. Then trust and don’t doubt His will in that situation. He is a sovereign God and His will is sufficient for me. Do you really believe that His Will is okay with you?”

“My daily prayer, is whatever I do and say be  acceptable in the Master’s sight. I want to live holy and righteous because He is Holy and Righteous. I want my character to duplicate His character.  What the Savior loves, I want to love and what He hates, I want to hate. I want to please Him with every ounce of my being. Where He leads , I will follow. I don’t want to be caught with the work He has given me undone. I want to be who He wants me to be. Can you say that you want to be like Christ?”

“It is a wonderful thing that we who are called according to His purpose serve a forgiving God. A God who not only forgives, but blesses us too. Now the problem comes in when we don't humble ourselves before The Master, and tell Him we are sorry for our mess up then ask for His forgiveness.  Please know that if you do not have a repentant heart, then you will never receive God's forgiveness or His blessings.”

“The word today tells us that we must suit up for war like a good soldier.  Have you ever seen a soldier go to war without his weapon? Certainly not, he cleans it and makes sure it is operating correctly. We must do the same for this Great War we are in.”

“When you said yes to Jesus, you said no to sin. Now do old habits end immediately? No they don’t, but as you start moving in different circles and being around other Christians, your old habits will start dropping off one bad habit at a time.”

“Would you rather Jesus think of you as WISE or a FOOL as stated in Matthew 7:26? I would choose wise any day of the week. To be considered wise the Lord said you hear His words and obey. In other words you reverence who the Master is and trust His will for your life. You know His ways are not your ways and His thoughts are not your thoughts, but you stand firm on your faith and believe that ALL things work together for your good because you love Him and are called according to His purpose.”

“God in Amos 5, was not happy with Israel’s foolishness and He is not pleased right now with the way we treat Him. As Christians we are to love what God loves and hate what He hates. We were created to worship Him, but instead we are acting like the children of Israel. We seem to put everything before God. We put our jobs before Him. We put pleasure before Him, we can’t worship because we got this cruise to go on or we have this lame excuse that this is the only day we have to spend with family.

Excuses! Excuses! Excuses! “

“As I think about 1 John 2:15, I know many people wonder how can I live in this world and not fall into the trap of loving the things that come with this world? I say by the renewing of your mind. When you said yes to Christ,  you said no to the prince of this world and that is satan. In Romans 12:2 it talks about not conforming to this world,  but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

“I will bless the Lord at all times and His words will continually be in my mouth because the Lord is good and His mercy endures to all generations and that includes me! This great God we serve is all powerful and all knowing. He is the way out of no way. He is the fire that keeps on burning. He is…“

“Now this is my daily prayer. I want to walk in God’s will for my life and not my own will. I’ve learned through my walk with Christ that life is better when you are doing what He has purposed you to do. Many times we struggle in this life we live because we are trying to walk in our own will.”

“John the apostle was believed to have written this book to warn the Christians of the time of false prophets who were teaching false information about Christ to glorify themselves, instead of glorifying God. Unfortunately we have the same thing going on today, people trying to throw the focus on themselves instead of the Savior of this world.”

“I know you know the story of Abraham and the ram in the bush, but have you really paid attention to what Abraham told his servants before leaving with Isaac? This is a clear example of what faith is really about. When you have real faith that God has your situation under control, then you can speak it into existence like Abraham.“
